Definition: Personification is giving an object a human ability.


Example: The sun peers through the branches.



Staring out my classroom window...

The grass sways swiffly with the silent wind.

Fences buzz with hot electricity.

The rocks sit still, as if they were statues.

The lightning tree stands injured and is as weak as a clumsy sloth.

Birds sing and tweet as they collect all sorts of sweets for their young.

The bright yellow sun plays hide and seek while streaming through the branches.
